Family Traditions

When I was a kid, my mom used to get us all dressed up and we'd take the train into the city. We'd meet my dad and head over to Wanamakers to see the light how. Yes, I know it's now "Macys" but in this historian's heart, it will always be the house that John Wanamaker built.

It's just not the holidays unless you go to Wanamakers to check out the light show. Here we are by the shoe department waiting for it to begin.
Ooooh, ahhhhhhh

Grace was pretty interested in all the lightsThen off to the Ritz to check out the giant gingerbread house. Grace: "No eat it!"
